“God is dead,” Friedrich Nietzsche.

I believe it; “God is dead,” Friedrich Nietzsche.

Maybe “God is dead” wherever faith and solidarity quietly turn into fear and exclusion _not literally, but as a symbol for when people lose faith in justice, safety, and dignity in their own country.

What I see in Canada today is this: immigration often begins as grief after “God dies” in one place… and can become a second grief when the country that invited you in starts speaking the language of fear and closing its doors.

I’m just naming what I see between newcomers and already “settled” immigrants who sometimes forget their own story.

I’ll share a deeper reflection on this soon.
